Randi Mashburn, 63, of Independence, MO passed away May 6, 2019 with her devoted family by her side. Visitation will be Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Carson-Speaks Funeral Home 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Funeral Services will be 10 am Friday at the funeral home. Randi will be laid to rest in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Randi was born on May 2, 1956 in Kansas City, MO to E. Wayne and Marilyn (Boswell) Searcy. She was a graduate of Truman High School. On November 15, 1974 Randi married the love of her life, Dan Mashburn. For over 38 years she was employed by Sears. Randi had a green thumb and loved gardening and being out in the yard. She was a vocal cheerleader for the KC Royals and the KC Chiefs. Perhaps her greatest passion was that of grandmother. She relished any time that she spent with her grandson Logan. Survivors include: loving husband of over 44 years, Dan Mashburn, son Steven Mashburn and his wife Katie; grandson Logan Mashburn; mother Marilyn Searcy; sister Ruth Ricciardi; brothers Bill and Wayne Searcy; several nieces and nephews; a large extended family and many friends. Randi is preceded in death by her father E. Wayne Searcy and a sister Nita Searcy.

I am so sorry for everyones loss.This is a huge loss.Randi was a very kind and loving soul.She had a heart of gold and would share with anyone.She was my cousin and my bestie.I have 61years of pics and beautiful memories.You were my rock cuz.You kept me out of trouble so many times.I looked up to you and adored you.Im here with a broken heart but lovely memories.Youve been gone now for 1week and 1 day and 3hrs.I get reminded of you by everything i do and thats comforting.Thank you for always being there for me and everything you did for me.I will have many tears for the rest of my life missing you.I love you Randi Kay Searcy Mashburn and you will forever be in my heart.R.I.P. beautiful girl.
